Same thing, guy calls all the time saying my computer has been hacked. When I asked for the name of his company and a phone number, he made up crap. He has called here about 20 times. I told him I was at my computer and pretended to be walking through his commands and then I told him that I looked him up and was well aware that this is a scam and it is all over the internet that it is a scam so give it up buddy.
Microsoft SCAM , say my computer was hacked and we need to fix it right away . I kept these idiots on the line for 18 minutes by pretending my computer was frozen and I could not even shut it off :)
8/11/17 12:02 PDT Pisses me off, because it rang once, showed on TV screen as 170-661-2083, didn't register on phone caller ID or call blocker. Frontier call log did show it, but have no way of blocking at this point. Really hate not having any control, would block if I had the opportunity.
Picked up call, heard it ring, then someone with an Indian accent picked up and kept yelling HELLO. This number called my main work phone so I tried to make sure it wasn't a customer. It clearly wasn't so I said "have a nice day" and hung up.
