I also received calls from 706-805-1582 and 706-805-1591 today. On July 4, 2013, I received calls from 706-805-1592 and 706-805-1595. They all display an origination from Hartwell, GA. The dialings seem to come in pairs (different CID's) with about two minutes separating each call. According to another 800notes.com thread, the instigator(s) may be running a phishing scam or it could be some some whacko making prank calls (see: http://800notes.com/Phone.aspx/1-706-805-0201/3). Given that the calls were seemingly cut-off after the first ring, I wouldn't be surprised if this part of a scam to siphon revenue from caller ID lookup fees (see http://telemarketerspam.wordpress.com for more info on how this scam works). I have added the above numbers to my phone's blacklist, but I won't be surprised if there are many other numbers used by the same perpetrator.
This obnoxious company called us twice in one night after 9 pm - once at 9:47 pm, and the next time at 10:12 pm. We didn't answer. Total of 3 calls in 2 days. I put their number on the blocked calls list for our phone service. Unbelievable.
Same deal. Rings my cell phone and when I answer, they hang up. Nothing heard in the background. Twice so far today and they've called in the past also.
