I got a call from this number today, did not answer but they left a voicemail - "Free extra benefits is you have both Medicare and Medicad, no more paying for ambulance trips, glasses and dental - press 2 now etc." This is a robo call and I believe it to be a spoofed number.
706-256-9390 is the FAX machine number posted on the website of the Columbus, GA Office of the Dept of Family and Children's Services (DFCS) in Muscogee County. FYI: The main phone for that office is 706-321-2673. I, too received a call from the FAX number but didn't answer it because it was out-of-area for me. No message was left.
I suspect that a third party "hijacked" or masked the FAX number" for the purpose of the Medicare promo that one respondent mentioned above . (The name "Delta" came up among the hits that were returned got when I typed the phone number into Google. However, Google also returned, at the top of the list, a link to the Columbus DFACS office, which is a Georgia State government website.
According to the DFACs agency's website, some Medicare/Medicaid business is also handled through the same office.
Hope that helps to clear things up. It just needs to be taken off the robo-operation. I'm sure the State of Georgia doesn't know about it.
Got a call on my cell phone from this number -- said "Columbus Georgia".... did not answer -- no message left -- tried to call back and got a fax machine tone...obviously THIEVES AND SCAMMERS who have spoofed a number -- BLOCKED
