The computer-generated message left on my mobile voicemail is identical (same exact wording, same voice) to several messages since last May EXCEPT each message originates from a DIFFERENT phone number (even different area codes). The message fails to identify a company but urgently requests a return call to the "? department" about my account. I do not answer suspect calls. This one is highly suspect and I can believe it is an IRS scam.
Called my cell, didn't know number so I don't answer. Besides getting put on a sales list of live answers, there is a New scam that involves them recording an affirmative "Yes" in your voice. They are buying clumps of numbers or cloning numbers and blocking them doesn't seem to work. No message left. These scammers just keep calling from various new numbers. How aggravating!!
