Called my work and said I would be arrested, there was a case against me. I got the same threat before in Arizona but from a different number, so knew this time to laugh and say I knew it was a scam. He was foreign (huge clue...sorry) and then he sings "you're going to be arresssssted!" I asked him for all his info, he didn't give it.
The scam is they will settle over the phone if you pay them a sum of money. Scare tactics into thinking you'll be arrested at work. I figured it was a scam in Arizona when they said I would be arrested, but had no information on the case, BUT that I could settle on the phone for $800. Then I knew it was a scam. Scare you into giving over money, then good luck trying to get it back.
