A woman called asking for someone who doesn't work at our company (and is retired) and only provided their first name. I asked for a last name and not only was it horribly misspelled (definitely telemarketer), she couldn't even pronounce it (second confirmation of telemarketer). Told her to call parent company instead.
A gentleman by the name of Matt Finn (Wine Advisor) called asking for my CEO by first name only (red flag), he said he was calling from WSI, when I asked what the call was in regards to he said "Wine." (Me: Wine?) "Yes, my company is Wine Spectrum" ... flabbergasted... our company has nothing to do with that industry nor can we with the work we do we can not have any alcohol on the premises. Weird call.
