I have received several calls from this number. In my work I can not use the phone and for that reason I do not answer. If the caller really wants to talk to me, you can leave message, but does not. Therefore there is no much interest in talking to me

The Caller ID shows one of these (on which we have reported before): a series of numbers preceded by an upper-case 'V'.
V303051502000019. We assume that is the computer spoof code unintentionally revealing itself. The 555 prefix identifies it as a Directory Assistance, in this case from Solano County, CA. The scammers have taken to spoofing directory assistance service numbers. Remember: if you answer and speak with one of these people, they are deceiving you. Directory assistance services do not make calls; they only receive them.
These people called and left a message on my voicemail mail saying that the US treasury department has a fraud case against me and that I need to call them to take care of this before I'm arrested. They also leave a different call back number of 202-738-4446
Received call today from woman with heavy eastern Indian accent. She said she was calling from "Solutions For All" about a problem with my computer. They were receiving messages that my computer was riddled with viruses. I knew this was a scam but played along for a little while. I asked her what kind of computer I had. She said, "Windows." I replied, "That's the operating system...what is the make of the computer." She said she didn't know. I continued asking how they were able to receive messages from my computer. She said when I bough the computer a seven-digit number was provided and that is how they are able to follow the computers and can alert people when suspicious activity is spotted. She said my anti-virus program wasn't strong enough to keep out all of the viruses and they had detected several were on my computer. I told her I could explain why the anti-virus program couldn't keep out the viruses. She interrupted and said that was why she was calling me - so she could help me. I then told her the reason the anti-virus couldn't fully protect my computer was because I didn't have a computer and asked her to explain further the reason for her call. She quickly hung (and surely moved on to her next potential victim). I received the exact same call three days ago from what sounded like the same person, but she called from a different number that time. No one will ever call you out of the blue to report a problem with your computer that they want to help fix over the phone. All calls from this number are scams. When I receive these calls, I either hang up immediately or play their game for a while in order to delay them from making a call to their next potential victim. I hope by delaying their call and tying up their line, I might save someone further down the list who might possibly fall for the scam.
