Illinois Collection Service; they handle medical bills. They called today about a bill that was paid a month ago.the kicker? They had a copy of the check in front of them but did not know if the client was paid. How is that the debtor's problem?

I just received a call from this number on my cell phone. They wanted me to give them my birthday date so they could varify a commercial account that I open. But I don't have any accounts and definately no commercial accounts. I asked for what company what this account for but they couldn't give me that "private" information and I wouldn't give them my birth date. End of call
