We don't know anyone in Illinois, and they hung up after 4 rings without leaving a message. This is the same behavior we get from annoying spam calls. Of course we don't answer unknown numbers...sorry I don't have more information. Just wanted to let others know that there's another number they're calling from.
I haven't answered my landline showing any number that I don't recognize for OVER THREE YEARS!!! Bust up the greedy telecom monopolies like they did to the "Ma Bells" in the 1950's. The telecoms could EASILY, significantly reduce the number of these scammer-calls if they wanted to!!! Once there is another practical way to get on the Internet besides DSL or cable, I will happily give my business (money) to that other way!!!
This is a fake Medicare scam operated by criminals in India using tie-lines to spoof fake phone numbers. These same criminals have phoned from 708-231-4319 , 708-231-4377 , and other 708 Illinois area codes, and various 646 New York area code numbers. If you have no phone interactions with people in Illinois or New York, you can wipe out many of these scammers by blocking the entire 708 and 646 area codes and your phone will be at peace. This Medicare scam is designed to steal personal identity information, Social Security Numbers, and steal your credit card numbers that they ask from you.
