This is how a Debt Scammer works. They want to scare you into paying on debt you do not have. There is no case, no case number. There is not even a debt.
You have to be legally notified of an outstanding debt. Phone calls, faxes and email are not NOT legal notifications.
Ignore and block the calls.

ICS is a collection agency in Tinley Park Illinois that specialize in collection of medical dept. Caller id will almost always list 000-000-0000.
Voice mail message will not identify the company name. Caller will say this message is for Jonh Doe please return this call. They will only give a department number, reference number, and phone number 708-263-2409 for you to call. They will also tell you this is not a solicitation for business but is a personal matter.
They called and left the following message:"this is sheila, please call me back at 708-263-2409. I finally answered the call, they asked for "Joe Doe", Are you Joe? Can I leave a message? When asked where are they calling from? They answered is a personal matter.
I called them back as "joe Doe" and they wanted to know if I was "Joe Doe", asked me my street addrees and date of birth, and I didn't give it to them. They said, that they can not give me any information because they have to make sure they have the corret person.
Tinley Park collection agency is trying to verify a name, address, phone number so they can go after someone for a debt. Don't answer any questions or give them any info. if they will not identify themselves. Report them to police and FTC for attempted identity theft and police for harassment.
One individual is a bully and threatens you if don't answer her questions but she won't provide any info on who is calling ("you better get her on phone"). Record the conversation, complain to Tinley Pk village, and Madigan's consumer fraud dept. Abusive agency that plays loosely with rules governing collection agencies. Get name & address and tell them in writing won't deal with them but good luck trying to get any info - they are bounty hunters.
Received a call at work from a "Fernando Hemanez" at (708) 263-2409. Luckily it was only a voice mail. I don't receive a lot of random calls at my job, so I was suspicious and Googled the number and lo and behold, it led me to this site. I am not aware of any outstanding debts that I have, but I have been through something similar with my wife being harassed by Aliied Interstate and I am familiar enough with the signs of illegal collection activites to know that I am being targeted.
