We get calls from this number all the time. When I did press 1 & someone finally answered they said I had a unpaid traffic charge from a town I had never been in. They asked for my credit card number & said I could take care of it right away & that way it wouldn't go to collections. SCAM!!! All they want is for someone to be dumb enough to give them a credit card number. NOT here!
This number has called a few times lately, about once a month. On the caller-ID it just says, "Illinois Call", and would not say who they were or what it was about. Mentioned a "municipal violation", but is not from a city or other municipality. Probably some debt collector trying to be slick, don't fall for this. I've seen other suspicious numbers similiar to this one as debt collectors too.
This number appears on my CID about twice a week now at first it was once every other week! A recorded message comes on claiming to be from some ICS? Don't know who this is I filed a Chapter 7 last year in 2010 and was discharged of all of my debts. Who ever this is needs to stop harassing me.
Yes, it is a collection service. Just got a letter with this number on it dunning me for a medical/munical related charge from 2009! Something I disputed already years ago - apparently the municipality sold this to them. By this point already on credit report and wouldn't be removed anyway.
This number calls often, but when I answer, no one ever speaks. Strange that it appears to be some sort of business, based on the other postings, and they don't talk! Caller ID just says "Unknown Name."
Been getting these calls from 708-263-2412 for nearly two years, I owe no one - have no credit problems, When I do answer - it switches me over to another line & it rings for a long time and then an answering machine says "please hold", No one ever pick up,
