Organization soliciting donations for breast cancer families. The caller was very curt, before they even identified who they were they asked to speak to the woman of the household. I asked what the call was in regards to and she said ""Ok, just so you know, this is Andrea....." It was very unprofessional and very bizarre.
I've receive calls from this number periodically even though I have told them that I am not interested. I am also registered on the government do not call list, but apparently that doesn't matter much either.
Breast cancer financial fund. Said they provide financial assistance to breast cancer families. I asked what percentage of donation goes to families was told 5 percent. Many better charities that don't take ninety five percent of donations for fees.
What is with the advertisement in the comment above mine? Certainly does not contribute to the discussion of the phone number this thread is supposed to be about.
The caller is a non-reputable charity purporting to be for breast cancer financial assistance. Internet shows this organization has a poor reputation and gives barely 5% of monies raised to actual cancer patients. I would never give anyone a donation over the phone via credit card either.
I agree with Greg. This "Long John Silver" is every bit the scammer as any telemarketing firm. Note the keywords like "liberal" scattered throughout his advertisement, then ask yourself who are the recipients of most contributions from the telemarketing lobby. Hint: it's not Democrats. Then ask yourself what "Long John Silver" is selling. Answer: Sentry Blocker. Mr. "Silver's" only interest in this site is peddling his crappy product.
Thus website is here to help users identify unknown numbers as a public service. Thinly-veiled spam like "Long John Silver's" should be ignored, if not removed.
We just received a call from this number; someone named "Andrea" asking to speak to my partner. I told her that my partner works midnights and is sleeping. I explained that this organization will never be able to reach her because I'm not going to wake her up to take this call. She hung up on me.....like we're really going to donate to such a rude organization.
