Two calls to my home phone 45 minutes apart, 1 at 11:15 and the second at noon, I let both go to voice mail. The voice mail messages received on 1/23/2013 are both:
"Hello this is Matthew Brookes with sweepstakes promotions. We're contacting you with an important message in behalf of direct buyers club. The entry form that you submitted within the last one to eighteen months to win a fifty thousand dollar home make over or fifty thousand dollars in cash has been selected as a semi finalist. Now there is absolutely no money involved and this is not a solicitation call. It looks a little details on what you need to do Dallas today at 7738404400. Thank you."
The two messages exactly alike, same voice, same stutter, it is a recording.
Similarly worded message--same name (Sweepstakes Promotions - Matthew Brooks). Caller ID said 708-377-5842. Message said to call 773-840-4400. Scam, scam, scam, scam...
