Received a call this morning from this number which woke me up. Feeling rather grumpy that they woke me, I decided to answer it. It was SURPISE!! "Speedy Loan" and they had approved my application (which of course I never made) for a $5000 loan. I put on my "Edith Ann" persona for the Indian gentleman. I said Ooh ooh $5000 bucks? What do I have to do! He asked my name and I gave him my standard fake name. It was funny listening to him trying to pronounce it. I said You have a very funny accent giggle giggle giggle. He told me the rate was 10%. I said 10% of what? He just kept repeating 10%. I said ok ok ok can I have it now? He asked if I could pay it back in 24 months at $300 bucks a month. I said What? Pay it back? I have to pay it back? He still didn't get it. He asked me for my Social Security number. I said My what? YOUR SOCIAL! I got my best little girl screetch on and said I HAVE TO TALK TO MY MOTHER ABOUT THIS ! And in his ear I yelled "MOMMY MOMMY MOOOMMMYYY!!!! THERE"S A BAD MAN ON THE PHONE! I think I probably took out his ear drum. And he hung up on me. I wonder why? Don't fall for these guys and don't play with them unless you know what you are doing. Gee, I guess I will never get my $5000 now! Be safe!
