Got some of the "Microsoft" calls too. Had fun with them asking if they liked being criminals, if the work paid well, how they got into the business, etc. Some got mad, others hung up, one discussed how he was in Israel and it didn't bother him (I asked if he had a conscience). The problem is, my brother (age 77) almost let them into his system, was amazed when I told him it was a scam. Get the word out to older people when you can.
Just called. Again, East Indian accent. You could hear others in the background speaking. He said his name (could not understand but it was NOT Laura) and got as far as "your computer" and I said "no you are not and we both know it is a scam." I hung up. So tired of these calls. From different numbers (although this is the first time caller id showed a person's name), and usually city/states OR my least favorite because I cannot check it out or report on 800notes, the UNKNOWN CALLER. (I always wonder if they have a brown paper bag over their head....for those who remember the UNKNOWN COMIC from tv). I just checked my phone and since Jan 6, I have had 12 of these various calls with numbers or unknown or city/states. And one more thing, they are starting to call at 8 AM and end at 9 PM now.
