Called me today and because of who he asked for I knew immediately a scam was starting. Started saying he could help me fix a virus that he knew was on my computer. I said yes, I suppose if I give you $2000 you will be able to fix my computer, right? Yes yes was the excited response with a strong accent. I said as it just so happens, I build computers and my wife works for the gov't, specifically as an FBI agent and you are a pathetic [***] - P A T H E T I C spelled out. Clunk went the phone. Am not sure why.
I had heard about this phone call, so when they me, I decided to play along.but, when he told me to go to my computer and he would be glad to help me fix it. I then told him I needed more info from him, that I was going to report him, he said,have a good day!!
