same type scam didn't answer get lots of various calls trying to switch electric

FCC needs to spend more money on stopping these azzzzzholes !

Electric Dept my foot....

I get this call from this number occasionally.  It's identified as "Electric Dept."  Since this is not my power company, I do not answer it;  they leave a cryptic (automated) voice mail asking to press 5 to speak to one of their representatives, without identifying themselves or what they want.

received calls from this number. they leave nomessage and when i call back it continues to ring and then disconnects.
why doesn't the fcc just disconconnect the number from service

The number is spoofed. That is not where the call is originating from. No way to actually track them.
