You can't stop it they think they can threaten u they cannot call your employer that's harassment where they get info who knows they just a bunch of scammers
Just received a call from this number stating that his name was David Robinson with some legal agency stating I had Federal Warrants on for my arrest due to check fraud. I personally go to the bank that he named everyday for work so I know there is nothing wrong, but he called my ex-husband's home phone number which needless to say is very upsetting. Then to make matters worse he called my stepson, how he got his number I will never know. After all of this happened I turned his name and phone number over to our local Sheriff's Office, they then tried to call the number and no answer just directly to voice mail. Life if hard enough without letting these scam artists get away with this. Somehow they have got to be stopped!!!!
Same number called me and said they had received a complaint against me. I hung up. They called back and left a message that it concerned my Bank and that they were going to "send it out" and "verify employment" if I didn't call back. I called my bank and they have nothing on record. How do you stop this?
