you can make any number with any area code from any state with google voice that is how these people are doing it, its a bit ridiculous. contact google and have them check and see if the number is theirs have them shut it down. but that wont stop them from calling . my suggestion download mr. number called id blocker it allows you to set it up to block spam callers and ditch callers.
Call almost everyday. Caller ID reads Ilinois, my wife thinks it's a relative since her family lives in that state. We live in Conn. Its very annoyng to rush to the phone to find out is a bogus caller.
