An actual Process Server is not going to have any conversation with you about any debt you owe, nor will they demand payment from you. If something like this happens, immediately call local law enforcement and make a full report including as much descriptive information as you can give them of the person impersonating a court officer.
Received a call from an unknown number. A message was left. She identified herself as "Investigator" Geo Allen. She gave her "badge number" as 67371 and said that she had a criminal complaint in her office against me and she proceeded to give me "the warrant application number". She then said it was extremely imperative that I return her call today and proceeded to give me her direct number of 708-689-4627 and then said I was fully informed and advised.
When I returned her call I did not identify myself but proceeded to give her my supposed "warrant application number". She then became very hostile and vulgar making remarks about my mother and my [***] size. I hung up and then I got a call from her number. This time my caller ID showed it to be Asset Financial. She continued to harass me with comments about my mother and, once again, about my [***] size. She even indicated that she was going to file a complaint with the state and then proceeded to give me my profession's license number and said that she was also going to contact the organization who issues my profession's license and file a complaint with them as well. This time I hung up and blocked her number.
For her to have my license number did concern me, but with today's internet, doing a search on an individual and obtaining their profession's license number would be fairly easy.
I strongly believe this is a debt collector scam and a "terror tactic" into scaring me in providing my personal information so they can collect money for a previous debt. I spoke to a local law enforcement and they told me just to ignore the calls; if this "criminal complaint" was official, I should have received some kind of documentation through the mail instead of receiving a threatening call.
She is an idiot. Tries to act like she is going to serve you with a warrant and use scare tactics to get you to call her. I have been dealing with people like her for 7 years now when my info got stolen from a payday loan website. What she is doing is illegal. That is why she isn't going thru the proper channels. Because she has no case against me. I would love for her or any of these fools to serve me with papers. That is all I need to file a case against them. I have handed her number over to the Arkansas Attorney Generals office. Probably won't do any good though because they use magic jacks to hide their "real" phone numbers and locations. If they were doing things legally they would just serve me. So come on "agent" serve me with your "real" warrant. LMAO!!
Once these kind of calls start they never stop. I have been dealing with it for 7 years now. They are not legal debt collectors. They steal your info from payday loan sites even if you didn't take one out or if it was paid in full. They will call your job, bank, relatives, friends. They will try to make you think they are detectives and you are going to jail. They are criminals and try to break you until they get you to give them money and once you do they will drain your account. I feel so sorry for elderly people that don't understand that they are being taken. I don't see why there isn't more done about these illegal operations. They will harass you to no end. The best advice I can give you is to not answer your phone. It's not worth it, you can't reason with criminals.
LOL, now "Miss Allen" is spoofing her number and making it look like she is calling from the court house in the county I live in. She is posing as someone from the courthouse. Kind of funny her voice is the same as the so called "Miss Allen" that called my twice yesterday. Come on and serve me the papers. If you had legit legal documents you would have already served them by now.
