Read the info at this link, for helpful advice:

Unfortunately, it seems some folks neglect to read even the first warning:
"DEAL LOCALLY WITH FOLKS YOU CAN MEET IN PERSON—follow this one rule and avoid 99% of scam attempts."
I RECEIVED A TEXT ON A COUPLE OF OCCASIONS FROM THIS NUMBER BECAUSE I WAS SELLING A VEHICLE ONLINE. TURNED OUT TO BE A HUGE SCAM WITH A VERY OFFENSIVE IGNORANT PERSON BEHIND THE SCAM. THE TEXT EVENTUALLY TURNED INTO EMAILS. WHEN I LET THIS PERSON KNOW I KNEW HE WAS SCAMMING HE BECAME THREATENING. I HAVE REPORTED THIS TO THE FBI INTERNET CRIME DIVISION. BE CAREFUL I WOULD NOT ACCEPT CALLS FROM THIS NUMBER.
I was selling an item on Craigslist. This person texted me and said he was Joe Lille. He was working as an Oceanographer and wanted to pay me via my pay pal acct. and have someone pick up the item - his "contract person". He was going to pay me via Pay Pal.
I gave him my paypal acct. # (which I have changed now) and unfortunately, he has my name and address. I did not realize this was a scam. Luckily, before I accepted anything from Pay Pal, I chose to put this # in the google search.
I am still a little worried that he has my information.
If this person texts you - please do not respond or say the item is sold.
I have this person texting me right now. I don't use paypal, but this person is in the middle of the ocean right now as is stated. Same person in regards to the oceanographer. What is the FBI doing with this?
