me too.. in spanish. I am fluent enough to know what that recorded female was asking: "Contradulations! You just won [xxx] thousand dollars" (didn't catch the amount). "Please confirm by ENTERING YOUR SS# now..." lol lol lol lol!
Like the time I RANDOMLY received 3 US Postal Money Orders in that mail totaling about $1,000... waltzed right to the PO and handed them over! And Y E S , they were fake!
For minimal calls like this go here: https://www.donotcall.gov/register/reg.aspx to register your phone number. YES!! this works for cell phones as well as internet bases phones.
We've just received the same call....woman speaking spanish....we've hung up...We live in quebec and its just weird to receive spanish call here.... :S
I got called just before noon. Said it was from Iowa so I didn't answer. I found this site & decided to report the number to Do Not Call. If your number is registered, you should do the same! It sounds as if someone is hiding their real number w/ this other one that's out of service.
I received the same call and it starts out with the sound of a cash register (chang-chang!). Nothing good. Reported the number and the point of origin: Alta Municipal Utilities in Alta, IA listed owners of the phone number.
