Just got a text from this number inquiring about my services as a musician and wanting to use a credit card. Area code was out of my area so I googled the number and came across this page.
Actually received a text from this person wanting some home remodeling done. They said a friend had referred my number. I asked who the friend was and they couldn't come up with a last name. They said they were in a hospital and wanted to know if they could deposit the money into my checking account. Ha ha ha, they're going to have to do better than that to fool me. I told them I reverse looked up their number and it had been flagged as a scammer. They didn't have anything to say after that.
I received a text from this same number. I am a musician and this person, who identified them self as Kim Quiter offered me a work opportunity for my band. This person insisted on using a credit card, which I would only accept through a third party, then proceeded to ask me to pay the photographer. The plan was to pay me my fee and the photographer's fee then have me give the photographer cash as they were not able to collect via credit card.
I was also told this person was in the hospital (out of town, no less) awaiting ear surgery. My wife immediately smelled a scam. I refused to play along and have not heard back from them.
Please stay away from this ph number (712) 227-7009. This person is a crook and not even remotely articulate, at least by way of texting skills.
