They call me 2 or 3 times a day and ask for Derrick. I started saying this is Derrick and they say they are Assured Ins. I tell them this is not Derrick and to take my number off. They say they will but the calls never stop.
I received this call along with several others recently that are similar. It was a man with a thick middle eastern accent. There were lots of voices in the background as well as random noises. He asked to speak with me a few times before he really understood that it was me. He identified himself as being with insurance.com. I told him I was not interested and he mumbled something unintelligible and ended the call. As I have received several calls of similar context lately, and have seen an uptick in my junk emails, also of similar context, I believe my information was sold sometime recently. Beware of this! In general, no one will call you to lower your insurance rates unless it is the company you currently insure with!
