I get a call from this number at least twice a day. I have called the number they give me, I have said I was the person they were calling and both times call went directly to hold.....All Reps are busy.
Just got ANOTHER call from this number. A message says it's Department of Human Services looking for someone named Rhonda Weet (sp?). Press #1 if I'm her, #2 if I'm not her, #3 if it's a wrong number. I've done #2 and #3 but continue to get these calls. I finally called it back to get a real person & after wasting 7 minutes of my air time (yup, they managed to get my cell# SOMEHOW!!!!!), I hung up. This is a bunch of crap so don't waste your time and DO NOT ANSWER it. They can just keep on looking for Rhonda.
This number is actually for the IA DEPT OF REVENUE. I do not get any options to press. I called the number left on my voice mail and they very quickly apologized and said they would remove it. Other numbers for them are: 866-339-7912 and 515-281-6944.

712-560-7649 is a SCAM - they always call & identify themselves as some kind of Government agency, looking for a person who you've never heard of; this phone number has even been know to call former Iowans in other states. Do not answer, and if you do, hang up immediately. if you push the buttons they are getting your phone number info for conference call charges. Look at your phone statements carefully. Search the Internet with just the phone number and you will find all kinds of messages on all kinds of scam boards about this phone number. Reversegenie won't help give you info on who this scammer/business/person is either. Iowa DOR DOESN'T call people or send them email, if you owe any money they will ALWAYS mail you a notice to call them toll-free.
