WOW, so many people dislike AHS. I got a home warranty with my home purchase and called them once (my heat pump stopped working). The contractor came in and fixed it. I only paid the $55 copay. The contractor's bill was for about $400. I had no problems with them and I am now actually thinking about renewing.
Receiving continuous calls from this number. Realized it was American Home Shield. They have denied my lasst 3 claims. First was A/C, 2nd - water heater and 3rd the other water heater. Decided not to renew.
We acquired this insurance when we bought our house. We tried to use them once when the heat went out on Christmas day. Was told it was not an emergency unless it was below freezing and the heat had been off for 24 hours. :( They didn't cover our expenses. They have sent many renewal letters and call repeatedly. I have answered and told them we do not want to renew. They keep calling. I guess they don't know that no means no.
My contract expired. I asked to be put on " Do Not Call" list. Now they call ever day from two different numbers. I would never do business with them again!
I finally got caller ID and since I did not recognize this number I let it go into the answer machine... but they did not leave a msg. I see that I am not the only one that had major issues with their services... I discontinued (2 properties) due to lack of service and very incapable repair companies they referred us to. They seem to try to get my biz again, but I did tell them: I will never use you, remove me from your list and keep in mind I will never recommend you! It looks like they don't give up... too bad... now I have caller ID so I will never pick up ever again!!!
