Call said restricted on caller ID but caller left a vm with that phone number saying one of my friends(used her name and I know her)had an affidavit against them for fraud. When she called them back(she has a law degree) he was fishing for her social security number. Caller said he was Daniel Marcell paralegal for CMCE and Associates. The phone number is owned by Level 3 Communications. I called Level 3 and filed a complaint.
Similar experience to "A", caller was looking for my sister who had her identity stolen. He was fishing for a social security number. The incoming call came from 777-777-7777 with a pre-recorded message about an affidavit. Caller said he was Daniel Marcell and gave the case file #CB1572.
so is this legit? had the same call/voice mail. told him a few choice words and hung up. he also called my brother within an hour of talking to me and left him a voice mail with the same information except he added that it was for fraud which he did not mention to me.
