I received a call today, and the caller is PORTFOLIO RECOVERY. i have a very common Hispanic name and they asked if they had the correct DOB and SS# (last 4) ....they provided the information. They had the Wrong person and the lady i spoke with removed my phone # from the list. Just talk to them and get it over with !!! If you have too, make a payment arrangement as the COLLECTION will not go away !!!

This company (PORTFOLIO RECOVERY)claims I owe a debt to Capital-one bank, but after the VERY FIRST notice they sent me, I called the (bank )800 number & found out from one of their reps that their REAL debt collection company is "ARC". Who I made arrangements with & have long since paid off the (NSF) CHARGES i HAD. pLEASE HAVE THEM STOP CALLING ME & USING THE PREPAID MINUTES ON MY PHONE.
