I got call from John Wilson pretend as a IRS agent, I know it is scam because IRS usually don't call but my concern is what is law enforcement doing while lots of people pretend as a fedral agent and trying to scam innocent people.
Got a call today from (713) 489-2317 and a heavily accented man who claimed to be a "John Wilson" from the IRS (and gave badge number 6331H) said the sheriff had paperwork to serve today for an arrest because of deliberate withholding of $ and $ owed in the amount of $3060. Said he needed cash to be sent to a Rite Aid within 30 minutes and that if the call was ended for even one minute, the deal was off. He said only cash. Because today was Martin Luther King Day, and no banks were open, he said he would take less. It is such a scam. Don't fall for it -- but he reads paragraphs from a "complaint" that tries to scare you: claims you will be arrested, a lien will be placed on all your property, your employer will be notified and your paycheck taken, your passport seized, etc. etc. etc. -- unless you get him cash through Rite Aid within 30 minutes. Very scary
Caller: Fake IRS agent
Call Type: Debt Collector
Got the same call. He claims that you cannot break the call with him for the "recording" -- and that if you drop off the deal is off. The obvious reason: he does not want you to be able to call and check with the IRS or with an attorney or with the police. He literally makes you leave IMMEDIATELY to go get cash from an ATM/bank and to then make your way to Rite Aid where he will give you instructions. When you say you don't have enough cash, the true scam nature comes out: he backtracks and then says he will take less. Such a con artist
Received call from 713-489-2317 on my recording landline from a Brandon claiming to be IRS re: fraud acct. eve of 1-21
will be reporting to sheriff dept.
got the same call from the same number, irs agent trying to collect 3,789.63 within 30 mins. or i would be taken into custody. the name he gave me was " brian taylor' badge # b213619, he got very pushy and aggrevated once i figured out he was fake! also wanted only cash to be electronically wired to him, another red flag, also who gets locked up for 3800.00 dollars?
Got a call from this number and some punk Indian / Pakistani kid with a thick accent was trying to pull the same crap as a 800 Service. If the NSA wants to go after people, it should be these morons. The call was from Houston, Texas, but I'm guessing it's bouncing from India or Pakistan or somewhere offshore, where they have zero regulations. Essentially, I told him to go to hell and he hung up on me.
