who are these people they keep calling my cell phone over & over & over & I am trying to work. I finally had to turn the ringer off.

trying to collect ancient debt that the statute of limitations ran out on over a decade ago. They buy 'old debt' from banks and other agencies for pennies on dollar then try to collect it on their own. So which means if you defaulted on $5000 credit card, they buy debt, ratchet it up to $8000-$10,000 with fees, fake attorneys, interest, and then the calls start even though the banks WROTE OFF THE DEBT. Some states write it off after 7 years. Good luck with that do not call list, do you really think someone is enforcing that?
