Said my debit card was locked from US Bank and I needed to contact their security dept. I don't have a debit card and they called on a Sunday. I called that number back and some female answered then quickly changed the call to an automatic message device.
They left a message stated that they are from Bank of America and a lock has been put on my account. I have no accounts with that bank. I did report it to the bank who told me they had other complaints re that number...which is fraudulent and under investigation.
Left a message stating that they were from US bank stating that my debit card was locked and I needed to call them to unlock it. Have 0 accounts with that bank. Clear scam.
Call says they are US Bank, needing to reactivate my credit card. I knew it was a scam, but wanted to know what all it would ask for, so I entered random numbers as answers. Credit card number, social security number, address, pin number, etc. I reported it to my local Sheriff's Office.
