IF you really did owe money, you would receive a written document that was mailed or served by a court officer. That would be a civil case and you would NOT be arrested & your license would not be held up. That is a scammer's way of trying to extort money from you. It is also illegal to threaten you!! Demand something in writing. If in doubt, contact your local county courthouse.
BTW - phone calls, faxes and emails are NOT a legitimate method to contact you.
Received numerous calls from a texas phone number saying they were a law enforcement and after I had agreed to send money or be arrested they gave me this number,,713-904-3454 to call and give them the transaction codes from Money Gram.I have since made numerous phone calls to the Austin Police dept,Texas Attornet General office,FBI,reporting this situation.
What has the local law enforcement told you? I also have gotten phone calls from a company claiming if I didn't pay them this money they will file suit on me and will be arrested and license will be arrested.
