I got a call from this same [***] number and when you try to call back the phone can not accept incoming calls. Actually the number that called me was 713 936 2602 and the name was branch brockman. I don't trust it one bit, and I wouldn't even call it back. I am assuming it is some type of scam or a debt collector. F $^# them!!
Apparently, they called my home and my friend picked up the phone. The usual spiel about action being taking on my account etc etc. Think this outfit tried to talk to my supervisor, not sure but it does sound like the same BS they gave her. She was given the name Accurate, my buddy said he could not understand the name of the company. He hung up on them after he refused to answer their questions, said that they called 4 more times, ringing it 20 times with each call.
I tried this number on a pay phone and got a sorry, this voice box cannot accept any more message. The caller ID on my home phone says Brockman Brauch. Looked up that name and it is the name of a law firm in Houston, however, the firm's phone number is nowhere near the one on my caller ID. Clearly a scam or a bottomfeeder collection agency.
Call and said that I was being sued, contacted my family member in another state as well as me. I called them back and told them, of course on voicemail, that I am warning the that I will be contacting my Attorney General, and that they have been officially notified.
John Houston is a locator for Accurate and calls family, employers, coworkers claiming to be wanting to contact my supervisor re: filing a claim against me and gives a claim # and wants to know protocol of the firm on how to go about filing such claim. Then he says I am duly notified or some crap like that. So he calls from 713-936-2599 and 832-900-4782 and the number for Accurate is 855-680-2883. Accurate claims to be a Pre Litigation Processing service and they are about to file charges against me for Fraud for an unpaid payday loan. They will not give their address and wants me to give them a PHYSICAL address so they can HAND DELIVER copies of the documents they are supposedly filing. I called the FBI today and they said it is a SCAM and to never give them any bank, address, or personal information and file with FTC online. Nothing can do to stop the calls though. They use VOIP phone lines so they are untraceable. SCAM!!
