Phone call came in as auto-dialer with faked CID showing “UTILITIES” and 714-202-9680. Same call yesterday came in with CID "UTILITIES" using the number 301-246-0919.
Prerecorded message followed from the “Energy Release Program.” Sent to a telemarketer, Brooke, from Green Energy Association. Brooke says she represents a government solar program, wants to qualify me for a government rebate that could give me free solar energy at my home. Asked about debt, FICO, government assistance, shade on roof, etc. She then asked my permission to not hold them accountable for any DNC violations, when I received a follow up sales and estimate auto dialer call from Solar America. I refused. When asked, Brooke gave me a company website of www.es.org, but could not answer my questions about why that website was non-functional or how the company operated, ownership, so transferred me to her supervisor, Jeff. He corrected Brooke and said web was www.ef.org. He would not provide basic info on company, and before I could ask for the company DNC policy, he hung up. Called back number on Caller ID, 714-202-9680, to ask for DNC Policy and got a recorded message that directed me to press a number to be removed from their call list, and to expect that to take effect in 24 to 48 hours.ictive auto dialer, hung up 10 seconds after answering. Called number back, operator message says no such number. According to the IRS - Form 990 Tax Exepmt Report I reviewed, the company is a non profit dba, The Energy Foundation, ERIC HEITZ, President, 301 Battery Street, 5th Floor, San Francisco, CA 94111. The apparently related company, Solar America is shown at Sec'y of State as a LLC, Entity Number 200923210168, with business address of 21215 BURBANK BLVD STE 400, WOODLAND HILLS CA 91367, and Agent for Service of Process of ANDREW YAKUB, 25544 PAINE CIRCLE, STEVENSON RANCH CA 91381. I plan to write them and explain how these calls are bad for business, and post negative review on every social media site available, and file complaint with FCC and the LA Better Business Bureau.
We received a call from "Orange CA, 714-202-9680", but we blocked them the first time they called (awhile back) and they haven't been able to leave a message on our answering machine with any of their subsequent calls (their number still shows up on our answering machine every time they call, however). JbP is right, these calls are bad for the business of this company. We NEVER do business with any company that obtains our phone number without our permission and then inundates us with junk calls! Why would they think otherwise?
