Some joker, Rick Sanchez (if that is his real name), left a message and said that there was a complaint about me and that some woman was trying to contact me regarding the same. It is somewhere in Southern California, I found out, yet I don't know the company or what they want. Is this a scam? I always get these out-of-state calls from clowns that claim that I either owe a debt or are going to sue me, what have you. Sometimes I tell them, if I get the phone when they call my landline, that I am going to contact the Colorado Attorney General. It is amazing how many of those creeps don't call anymore. Wonder why? Should they be afraid of the AG or what?

Yes it's a scam and they'd fear the AG because they're fraudsters. No legitimate debt collector is going to be passing out threats over the phone. Random callers claiming to be collecting debt are not to be taken seriously if you've received nothing in the mail regarding outstanding debts. They'll have the guts to do it, though, if they're using dummy numbers that aren't traceable. Don't try and find out if the number is in service.
I received a phone call today from Rick Sanchez claiming to have sent the. Police ti ny house 3 times to serve me with legal paperwork. When I asked what for he didnt know. He said it was sone type of debt I hadn't paid and id I didn't ahow up to court it would be a fta and a warrant would be issued. I have never heard of this because I owed money! Its a fraud!!!!
Over two hundred years ago, you could be arrested and thrown in jail for owing money. Or you could be sentenced to indentured servitude. Then it was outlawed. Anyone that tells you that you owe a bill and if you don't pay, you will be arrested is a liar.
