No answer, did return call when I left a message. They do not state they are trying to collect a debt, which is required. They just start in about how they will file suit in small claims against me for a 5 year old payday loan, which I did pay the principal amount back. Before everyone gets ugly, thats all that is required, as they are not a licensed lender in my state. They did make some money off me though.
To add on to my previous comment....I spoke with them several times to get their correct name, or the name of the person who says he is the attorney of record. The names John Hill or John Marsh are not listed with bar association. Nor would he provide me with his license #. They also do not have a business address. Scam to the tenth power! Threatening law suits without informing this is an attempt to collect a debt. Desperate thieves.
Keep getting numerous call from a John Hill law firm. I called no answer but they leave the ruddest messages threatening to sue me.... and now they are calling my job..it's getting to be very annoying.. who are these people??
Just got a phone call from them saying they were going to arrest me at my work. Don't know who they are or what they want...no explanations, just a nasty message as I don't answer calls from unknown numbers. Sounds like a scam to me as I've never spent time or done business in the Bay Area! Lame!
Received a call about a supposed debt I owe and if I did not pay by Monday I would be arrested at work. I contacted the company "John Marsh" said I had a debt to and they had never heard of me. I knew I did not owe these people but wanted clarification. The company told me it was a scam as well.
