This is a SCAMMER….these people are telemarketers trying to scam you, they are NOT Google. Do NOT press any buttons, just hang up & BLOCK them. Google will not:
1) Place automated sales calls
2) Ask you to update your front-page listing or claim your free website
3) Ask you to pay to be included in Google Search or Google My Business
ALSO NOTE The only reason the REAL Google would be calling you is if YOU called or contacted them first & they will supply you with a PIN Code!

This is a guy trying to sell his search engine optimization (SEO) service. The goal of SEO is to move your website up in search ranking until you get on the first page of Google search results. (Most people rarely look beyond the first page!) His pitch was that if he Googled you he should be able to find you on the first page and if he couldn't he could help you get there. I should have engaged him and asked what was the name of his business, searched "Orange County SEO service", and then asked why his business did not come up on the first page of my search. Instead, I just hung up. After the fact, I realized that I had missed an opportunity for great fun.
Rude1, you have to be careful with the "great fun" these bogus calls provide. Today's scammers are after one thing: your money, or anyone else's that they can get to quickly. Many of these scams to go fund international terrorism. These people should not be messed with. With today's technology, ability to spoof, ability to modify a call to you so that you're recorded as saying "yes" to agree to purchase something, ability to quickly get your number out to massive amounts of robodial lists -- the last thing you want to do is tick them off by playing with them. Just hang up and block quickly. Don't engage. As tempting as it is to tell them "I'm onto you!" -- just don't do it.
