got call yesterday asking for me by name. Was a live call and left message on machine, but just asking for me. I guess he thought I answered, but then hung up when it was my answering machine
As long as you let ANY of these numbers either just ring or ring into your answering service, they are going to consider your number as a possible good calling number and keep pestering you to death, in hopes that one day they will catch somebody home, and they can scam you into something. And, if you answer, you CAN'T be soft with them. You either need to deal with them harshly, or jerk them around like I do (See previous message by me) or you have to do the manual block (answer & hang-up quickly), or use your blocking service/phone or purchase a phone blocker device. The so-called 'Do Not Call' registry, is worthless! These scumbag criminals aren't afraid or care about you being on some government list. In fact, it is laughable at best and they know it!
I have routinely got phone calls from something called "Info Survey" going back a week or more. I just delete them and I don't talk to them. Today that one called and I dialed 1 and some girl answered and I told her I knew they were scammers and that I was going to report them. Shortly thereafter this "Elizabeth Sucre" called and there was nobody on the line when I picked it up. I have deleted it as well off my system. When I saw the other comments here, it was reaffirmed to me that there are some kind of scam artists going around calling these numbers of people they think are elderly. I don't even possess a damn credit card. %^@$# them!
