Call blocking only holds so many numbers. They seem to misrepresent auth to call from some commission. They will say anything, why?
You're right, pissed, they will say about anything just to make a sale. I got called about the same time as you but once I told them a renter, then they themselves have no more interest in you.
They won't tell their colleagues though, so someone else from there will call you again and again and again. It never stops unless you have a way for your phone to block the #--before they create another fake one. don't even speak to seemingly individual names you don't recognize, that's now a new tactic they use.
