This caller did not speak to my machine so no message was left. The caller id said "Out of Area". A reverse trace was blocked for a name or business, no surprise there. The number is for a cell phone that is being used from Anaheim to Huntington Beach California using two service providers (USA Mobility Wireless Inc. and Qwest Communications Company-LLC) to spoof numbers. From what I've read, this is definitely a scammer phishing for personal information and/or checking to see if anyone is home and checking for active numbers. Block this number and report it.
Telemarketer called my nationally DNC registered cell phone number using, I suspect, ATDS technology. He stated that he was working in-connection with AAA and Costco looking for homeowners that would like a free estimate on home improvements. I am not and have never been a member of either organization and requested to be placed on their internal DNC list. The next caller gets an appointment and a little bit more.
