I got a call today from a black woman (i know this by the sound of her voice), looking for a Cynthia Fox today. My family has maintained our residence for the last 50 years and when we change our phone number, 4 years ago, I don't remember a Cynthia Fox signing on the dotted line.
These people are just a bunch of scam artists looking for someone to pay a debt that may or may not be real (or already been paid for). . . wouldn't they just send something in the mail?
Wouldn't they just have a process server come up to your door and serve you?
They want to verify who they're talking to and then verify the address, so then they can send a process server out. Yeah, right! (It's a scare tactic, to get you to pay in advance. Only so then they got you hooked as a mark and then they will call you back a couple of weeks later and try to do it all over again, saying that you didn't pay everything that was owed the first time) Lmao!
A real debt collector does not do that, they already know who you are and know where you live.
Don't fall for the scam!
Btw, "Jeremy" back on October 13th 2009 had a similar call from SBCS on an 800 number, 800-220-2018 (look it up). This is an ongoing scam!
Also, if you do a little more research of SBCS, it will yield you information on numerous lawsuits to this company.
