i got a call from 714-415-3639 it was from a girl she did not leave her name or tell me what business she was calling from said it was regarding my property at an address i had not lived at in years....said there were concerns that needed to be discussed with me or the property owner at this point me or my attorney needed to contact friedman associates at 714-380-5376 left a reference number when i called said number just to see what they said it was a man who spoke english but he was speaking too fast to recognize his name..didnt identify as freidman associates but has a worker for William Dubois Office while i was on the phone with him i googled the phone numbers i had for them the freidman associates and william dubois office and found nothing linking any of them together...other than William Dubois Office and the phone numbers to multiple scam sights...when i asked him why they called he asked for my social name and phone number i told him i would give him my name but that would be all i would give until he could tell me what was going on...he put me on hold for several minutes then came back and said he had to put me on hold so he could start the "recording process" so if they needed to sue me at any point they could use the transcript against me....he asked my name again and i told him and he put me on hold yet again so he could quote "go get my file" even though you could hear people talking and typing in the background....he told me it was for a payday loan i took out and that i needed to pay them or they would file a lawsuit against me in my district i asked them what i owed and he said i guess 100 or 150 but we want $418 i said you are calling to tell me i owe a debt but you cant give me a defenitive answer or proof of what i owe he put me on hold again....when i told him i never took out such a loan he told me he worked for platinum holdings and that William Dubois Office was the last stop before lawsuit....i told him again i didnt owe anyone anything and he put me on hold and hung up.....i chalked it up to scam...the next day i got a call from the same girl again this time she left a call back number of 714-415-3633 this time instead of saying it concerned my property at that old address it was concerning my personal property at my work place...said i had until 11 am to call them or have an attorney call them or they would proceed without me...again she did not indentify herself or the company she was calling for...i call again got the same guy again talking to fast...i asked him why they had given three different names...William Dubois Office, freidman associates, and platinum holdings....he said it was not about them it was about me not paying what i owed...i asked him again how much i owed he was like ummm its your debt you should know....i hung up i immediately went online and put my number on the national do not call registery and i have not heard from them since then
