This number called my phone and it showed up as "unavailable". I am tired of all these "unavailable" calls coming on a daily basis. I did not pick up. I tried the number a day later and got a recording saying the number was disconnected. Even though I am on the 'Do Not Call List', I still get numerous unwanted calls every day. Why?
Caller didn't leave a message on my machine and the caller id said "Out of Area" which usually means telemarketer/scammer since every legitimate caller I know leaves a message. So I ran 3 reverse traces using 3 different types of traces and all came back to a Joseph Milone 6332 Darlington Ave. , Buena Park, CA 90621 using the service providers of AT&T California and Pacific Bell Telephone. This is definitely a scammer that is spoofing numbers (since caller id said "Out of Area" but there is clearly a person associated to this number) and/or using a VoIP System to phish for personal information while running some scam. A legitimate business or person would never hide their identity by blocking caller id from the public without blocking a trace. DON'T ANSWER AND DO NOT CALL BACK FOR ANY REASON. Block and report to the proper authorities. Phone companies should be held responsible for these types of calls since they are making money from them by providing the systems and services that these scammers use and possibly farming out numbers too.
Male caller said he was from "the Association" checking up on the heating in my area. I live in a condo so my first thought was is he legit? He wanted to know how old my Heating Unit was in my building. I was suspicious of him right away, because if he from from my Condo Association, or on the Board of the Condo...as he pretended to be, then he would know the answer to his own question. I asked for his name. He said William, and when I asked if that was his first or last name, he hung up on me. November 1, 2016 at 11:48 am ...in Yorba Linda area.
Never got a call from this number before. This prefix is pretty close to me, so to have their ID say "Out-of-Area" makes me know it is a scam. Never answered, & it's now blocked.
