Just got a call from this number. They wanted to lower my mortgage. I asked the name of the company and number i can call them back. The guy hung up. Hope this is the last time i hear fm them.
Obviously a telemarketer....they hung up when I answered but I could here what sounded like a call center in the background and when you try to call them back it won't allow it. That is a typical trait of a telemarketer.
Am so sick and tired of these calls that come through to my cell phone. They won't answer the phone and when they do and you ask them to please remove your name from their calling list, they hang up.
Modern technology has given telescammers the tools to call you.
Since those telescammers are criminals, they ignore both the Do Not Call list and any request you might make.
Modern technology can also protect you, if YOU do a few simple things!
The first thing to do is buy a call blocker device, service or app.
Then, use it correctly.

If you cannot afford or use such a tool, then:
* Do not answer calls from unknown numbers ... let them go to voicemail or answering service
* Do NOT return calls from unknown numbers! All that does is verify your phone number! And, in some cases, those return calls may cost $20 or more to complete.
* If you have a "dumb" cell phone, assign the scammer's number to a group named "scammers" (or similar). Then, assign a silent ringtone to that group.
This is the most obnoxious telemarketer. I told him not to call here anymore and he wanted to know "who the F _ _K I was to tell him not to call here. I asked to speak to his supervisor and he said he was the supervisor. Wanted to refinance our mortgage! Told him we didn't want to!
