Who called from 7145628017

Student loans

714-562-8017 called our home landline at about 10:15am and had a Caller-ID indicated as "TRIM LOK INC". We never answer unrecognized Caller-ID's so we let them go to our answering machine and we screen those calls. This caller started to leave an *automated* message immediately and before the outgoing greeting even started so we didn't get the whole message. I called the number back a little while later and it was answered by a live person Rep. The person told me that they are a "Student Loan Debt Forgiveness" company, and they would like to "help" us "get out from crushing student loan debt". We have no student loans and haven't had any for many years. Obviously, this is a Phishing expedition call to start with.

As I spoke to the Rep, I could hear a din of voices and noise in the background. It was easily heard. It sounded like a typical 'boiler room'. There were a lot of Reps speaking, men and women, and they were all asking for people's personal information. I even heard them asking for some type of "account number" from somebody as well. Sounded extremely sketchy.

A Google search for the Caller-ID phone number comes back to a Korean Market in Buena Park, Ca -- and the Caller-ID name search of "TRIM LOK INC" came back as "Plastic & Rubber Trim & Seals" business also located in Buena Park, CA. It is apparent to me that this number and their purported 'service' is a Phishing Scam taking people's personal information including "account" numbers. We added the number to the Block List.

I recevied an unsolicited call from 714-562-8017 Buena Park, CA.  I know no one from this area, so I let it go to voicemail.  They did not leave a message.  I called back from my landline phone, and received no answer.   I have blocked this caller as I feel it was just some type of scam.
