One of the newest scams: The robot phone caller should be boiled in oil for thinking this one up. But that he is calling the do not call list as his phone book is an amazing joke.
If i am next to a computer always check number with 800notes -
Got a few calls and messages. I know BS when I hear so so I finally got a chance to talk to a 'human' and lured him in sweet scared talk then blasted him with a lot of profanities...
They called me and told me that there is a legal case pending against me and I will be arrested... They said that even though they are Cali based they serve all of NY and that I was gonna be arrested In half hr.
As the other entries, received voice mail message from this number. It was from a female w accent. Did not ask for me by name so not certain how they knew correct person was reached to leave this type of message. Did not identify themselves either which no company would do. Stated there is a legal case pending against me and I will be arrested within the hour, provided number to contact them and tauntingly ended by saying "see you in court". I never returned the long distance call.
Just received this on my business phone - same thing. See you in court.. I'm going to be arrested. Figured I was not going to call this number and have it put onto some sort of list as active numbers.
