An unwanted call from this Anaheim non-existent (spoofed) number arrived today. When the call rolled to voice mail, the caller left no message, just dead space. This is a favorite ploy of robocallers (unlawful telemarketers) who troll the phone lines seeking gullible schmucks to victimize.
Some posters report the caller is the Fraternal Order of Police, a suspected scam charity. If this is true, these lawbreakers also operate from another Anaheim non-existent (spoofed) number, (714) 598-4092, which has placed unwanted calls to my number several times this month.
Folks, whether it is a scam charity, a scam solar energy contractor, or a scam vacation giveaway, a scam is a scam is a scam (with apologies to a famous poet, who shall remain unnamed).
DO NOT BE VICTIMIZED BY THESE TELECRIMINALS. LET YOUR ANSWERING MACHINE TAKE THEIR PATHETIC CALLS.
