I picked up this call because I was expecting a call from someone in the City of Orange, CA. Turned out to be a debt collector. Said I had two accounts with her "office." I have no Wells Fargo Visa Credit Accounts, so I just laughed at her. Told me "I'd be hearing from her again." I looked up the number and found no history anywhere.

I recieved a call from 714-602-1994 today. Asked if it was: me - stated my name - then proceeded to state the last 4 digits of my SS#. Asked for me to confirm it was me and my SS#. I just hung up. I have received mail in the past stating I have a credit card debt with Wells Fargo bank - from 15 years ago. Not true - but they insist they are going to collect. Too much time has gone by - therefore - best thing to do is hang up - once you admit you are the person they are looking for - and have a conversation with them - it opens the debt back to day 1 - and they are able to push for pymt. Just hang up on them.
