Received call on my work cell #. Auto insurance solicitation. I hung up, then called the number back, pressed 1. Sounded like a typical noisy boiler room setup, lots of other operators in the background.
I was friendly, and the telemarketer who took the call said she would be helping me start the quote process. I said OK, then asked, "By the way, what company is this?" I was told that it was something like "auto insurance placement company", and that they work with all the major carriers. So I said, "OK, so you're like a broker, is that right?" and then the woman hung up.
Missed call on my cell phone. Called back and a recorded voice stating her name was Mary answered. It promised the lowest insurance premiums and asked to press some number to be connected to someone.
DId not press any number. Don't appreciate unsolicited telemarketer calls.
I called back this missed call, knowing it would be a telemarketer of sorts. As soon as i heard the machine pick up I pressed the button and then asked the operator for phone sex. I was promptly hung up on.
