Call was made by a male who spoke with an Indian accent. Sounded as if he was in his mid 30s. He had my name correct, but was referring to a Dell computer owned by Morgan and Amanda. The alleged computer was pinging the network that there was improper activity on the alleged Dell laptop. When I told him I didn't own a Dell computer he kept talking about the exchange on the internet that there was a problem with the Dell laptop. I told him since I didn't own a Dell laptop I wasn't going to talk to him any longer. It was very apparent by the background noise the caller was calling from a boiler room operation.
Got a call today from a belligerent Indian "tech." He was unable to give me a valid address but insisted he was in CA. He transferred me to his supervisor when I asked for his email address. Who does that?
The supervisor was just as asinine. He gave the address of the "email department" which was invalid. He later hung up because I kept asking him info about his fake company.

Thanks Slim, there has been publicity about this scam. I read item 3, but I didn't give him the chance to offer to fix the problem. This scam is despicable that preys on vulnerable people who may not know what they're up to.
